Stories 2009/2010

-   Tonight as we watched the closing ceremony for the Olympics I told BALOO that he was about to hear the national anthem of his parents country.
No word of a lie, would you believe that he stood for the whole antemn and looked at the tv!
You would have been so proud :)

-  On the weekend I took Corrado to a busy mall full of different people with my mom, you should have seen him! he was walking with his chest out and very confidently! He was not afraid of anything or anyone, many people approached to pet him and he loved the attention, i will take him to petsmart on the weekend as well, good idea. In the park all his dog friends are bigger and older then he is, he tries to run with the big male doberman and is not afraid of any dog.

-  Our little Mechel is a STAR as you rightly know. He is so smart and classy. He already sleeps in his crate (Bob sleeps on the floor beside him). He is adjusting. The cat, Bruni, and he are acclimating to each other in a proper way. No nastiness. They are curious. Bruni sleeps in a basket on top of Mechel’s crate.
You clearly know what you are doing with this breed. Mechel is outstanding.

-   Things are going great with Corrado! He is a very happy and energetic boy who is super intelligent! I cannot believe how smart he is, he amazes me with his intelligence everyday! You were right when you said that he is like a professor!
He is also a very beautiful boy with great hair! I cannot wait to see how he does in the ring, he has so much confidence and wants everybody to look at only him. I really like his personality, he is not afraid of anything!

-   Zoya is so smart and lovable. We all love her and think she is so special and beautiful. You are so right she is so lovable and smart!I awoke at 8:00am when I took her outside and she went immediately potty and then came in ate and played. She is very bright and alert puppy!
I love her so much and am so happy to have her.

Puppies 2008

-   Baloo is practicing well and as usual we are proud of him.
He is really developing his personality and makes us laugh all the time.
My neice is staying with us and he is madly in love with her and cries at the door if she ever goes out. He really is a terrific guy and we are able to trust him alone in the house now without any barriers.

-  Tanya,
Our Drago has a long beautiful soft coat. I brush him several times a week after our evening walks and was wondering at what age you start to trim the coat.
He is looking like a big black bear with lots of fur.

-  Hi, Of course Scarlet is adorable. She looks like a big, black, floppy teddy bear.
She has a very calm personality. She does not seem to mind loud noises and people can come into our yard or house and she hardly responds although she likes being around them. However, she is a bit nervous when we are out walking and she meets new people. We will be working on that by taking her to new places more often and introducing her to more people of all ages.
Scarlet loves playing with our Wheaten terrier Maudie who has overcome her initial dislike of the intruder. Scarlet has graduated from puppy school and did quite well. We will be practicing over the summer and enrolling in more classes in the fall. She is getting very good walking/heeling on the leash and when we walk off leash in safe areas she never strays far and comes and sits when called. We have cut her nails several times and trimmed the fur on her feet and she is fine with that. She is also quite patient when we brush her and does not mind being handled. She is not a fussy eater and definitely enjoys mealtime. We enjoy having Scarlet as part of our family and thank you for giving us that privilege.

- Abby is so much fun. I am really enjoying her. She is definitely my dog.
Veronica

- Today it was very hot outside and Nika was having so much fun running through the sprinkler -- she loves to jump around in the water and then run and play in the yard. It cools her off. Every day we work together practicing our commands, "Sit," "Down," "Leave It," "Come" -- she gets it right every time. I am using the "clicker" and treats as rewards. Nika loves to please me and she is so loving and happy, her tail is wagging all the time.
Thank you again for allowing me to adopt my Veronika. She is my love. And now both of my brothers wish they had BRTs!
Heather

- Austen is getting along great with all of the family. Although he has a much stronger bond with me, he definitely loves and likes to be with everyone else. This is a very good thing.
He did well at his first professional grooming, except when it came to doing his nails - this did not go too well. We will have to work on this more diligently.
The guarding instinct is very much kicking in. We are seeing this character trait more and more from him. Although he is not being aggressive, he certainly lets you know if he has a concern.
Michael

- My Nika is the best-behaved and most adorable, loyal, loving girl...I cannot tell you how much we all love her. So I would like to ask, please keep me in mind to adopt another one of Janetta's babies. Do you expect a possible litter next year?

- A little story of Scarlet.
"I had some work to do at the computer and Lorna had gone to the pet store for something or another. Scarlet was snoozing beside me. When she woke up I took her outside for a pee and a walk around the back yard. The sun was shining and she didn't want to come back inside, so I gave her a pig's ear, went back inside, and watched her from my office window.
She lay in the sun and worked on her pig's ear, but after a minute or two I went back outside to call her in. She picked up her pig's ear and carried it to a small patch of gravel that wasn't covered in snow. She scratched away the gravel, laid the pig's ear in the hole, and very carefully and methodically covered it up with gravel. When it was completely covered, she wagged her tail, marched into my office, and is now sound asleep.
She's a wonderful dog. Not just beautiful but smart too".

- I think Nika would enjoy agility - she loves to work and run and play. She is now learning to retrieve the newspaper for us! It makes her so happy to do a job - her tail is wagging the whole time.

- Vaughan and I knew from the day we met Janetta that she was "top notch" and we are thrilled to have her son.

- Thanks so much again for a beautiful pup and for keeping him so well groomed.

- Abby is doing really well. The members of the Muskoka District Kennel Club have been helping me with Abby meeting strange dogs. Abby and I will be competing for our Rally Novice at the end of the month.

- I love the fact that you are interested in keeping in touch after you place the puppies. That is very admirable! I am very excited to have found you and your website!!

- Scarlet is doing really well. She is a very happy and affectionate dog and interacts incredibly well with other dogs of all shapes and sizes.
This past Monday we started agility training after being on the waiting list since October. It was fun for both Scarlet and me and she was willing to give everything a try. I think she’ll be very good as she is smart and athletic. All in all, we are very happy with Scarlet (and she seems happy with us) and we love her to pieces. Thank you for letting us have one of your beloved pups.  Lorna - You should see how well Nika does with kids. The kids across the street like to walk her on a leash and she walks with them like a show dog, patient and not pulling.
People stop me all the time and ask about Nika. Lately people ask if she is a Bouvier so I feel better that they are no longer asking if she is a "Labradoodle"!
