"I have been a canine lover all my life and back in the 1960s and 1970s owned and operated Prestigia Kennels, breeding and exhibiting Bullmastiffs and Giant Schnauzers. Five years ago I became interested in the BRT and decided to look into the breed. The more I looked the more interested I became – fascinated with the genetic approach taken the Red Star Cynologists in creating a new purely “working breed”. Most people don’t understand what a “working dog” is and how it is supposed to behave – or how to train and socialize. I have made many contacts around the world over these past five years (Russian, Finland, Germany, Latvia, U.K, USA, Australia, New Zealand, Hungary, France, Spain, Italy, Canada, and others). My book production was held up because of a health problem I had to deal with, but I am now back on track with it.
At any rate I find the BRT to be a fascinating and truly exciting “working dog”.
